What a bunch of classics in your final selection - I'd definitely be happy to take those eight with me!

I have a feeling that I'm going to spend most of tomorrow trying to decide which director I would choose :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6037699316934980229.post-39919876923578737272010-04-14T19:24:45.957-05:002010-04-14T19:24:45.957-05:00This post had me laughing out loud! I love all of ...This post had me laughing out loud! I love all of your reasoning and discussion. As for my own favorite director? I'm currently in the middle of an Errol Flynn obsession, so I think I'll go with Michael Curtiz. Like Billy Wilder, his work spans several genres (including ones I avoid), so I'd get a nice variety on my little island. The movies I'd pick: Captain Blood, The Adventures of Robin Hood, Four's A Crowd, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Casablanca, The Sea Hawk, Life with Father, and White Christmas.

This is a great question! Although, it makes me a little depressed to think of any version of life where I didn't have my movies.Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14920287901509695920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6037699316934980229.post-3105938819088323902010-04-12T09:48:55.517-05:002010-04-12T09:48:55.517-05:00Oh, a desert island director? I'd have to give it some more though, esp. if I was going to narrow it down to the movies I'd take a long, but Woody Allen, Luc Besson, and Alfred Hitchcock jump immediately to mind. Billy Wilder's a very solid choice, too, of course. Nice pick, and great food for thought!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6037699316934980229.post-64022976977903083832010-04-12T08:45:15.650-05:002010-04-12T08:45:15.650-05:00Hey, MVG, this is my first time at your blog.
